The Lafayette Wildcatters are Lafayette's professional indoor football team and play at the Cajundome in Lafayette each season. The team is a charter member of the Southern Indoor Football League and is based in Lafayette. The Wildcatters were formerly known as the Acadiana Mudbugs, and changed their name in 2010. They've played against the Louisiana Swashbucklers, Austin Turfcats, Houma Conquerors and the North Texas Crunch throughout their history.
